The most iconic place in Glacier National Park, for me, is definitely the Wild Goose Island overlook. In our year of travels in the parks, we’ve seen some incredible vistas, but some just stand head and shoulders above the rest. For those, it’s as if the scene was carefully thought out and the details within were delicately placed. A perfectly structured waterfall here, an expertly placed mountain there, an idyllic island over there, etc. Tunnel View in Yosemite, Canyon Overlook in Zion, and this, Wild Goose Island in Glacier. These are epic places within epic parks. Nature is indeed the finest artist.
